ABOUT OUR CHAPTER
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Dallas comprises leaders from more than 150 of the most prominent consulting engineering firms representing more than 5,000 engineers in the Dallas area. Founded in 1954, the Chapter has worked hard to build leaders, strengthen business practices, and promote our industry. By joining ACEC Dallas, our member firms and their employees invest in the vitality of the consulting engineer profession. Member companies are entitled to participate in a wide range of activities and groups that lead to new contacts, innovative ideas and business development opportunities that will increase market share and limit liabilities.

The President Elect is responsible for programs at the monthly membership meetings. Up to three (3) programs per year are to promote good business practices among consulting engineering firms. Programs are to be diverse in subject matter and should include local business and political leaders.

BUSINESS PRACTICES

This initiative promotes good business practices among consulting engineering firms and provides programs or continuing education on topics related to business practice. These efforts may also include conducting business practices surveys when deemed beneficial. This team communicates regularly to the Dallas Chapter concerns regarding professional services contracts and is serving as a Chapter advocate on legal, contracting and insurance issues.
